The article discusses the Committee on Governance (COG). As the lead trustee action group of the American Hospital Association (AHA) the COG leads trustee involvement in grassroots advocacy and provides input to policy development of the AHA. It is composed of 28 members, nine regional liaisons, and 16 at-large members. Offering opportunities to get hospital leaders involved, the COG in January 2008 announced nominations for leadership positions, while the AHA invites other trustees to participate in various advocacy issues.
