ABSTRACT
The article offers information on financial developments in chemical industries in India as of December 2007. Chemplast Sanmar is adding more capacity to its plant and ensures the availability of raw materials to be able to go full steam in June 2008. State-owned Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd.'s plant has started operations on its Dahej complex in Bharuch in December 2007. State-run GAIL (India) Ltd. has entered into a partnership with Reliance Industries Ltd. for a multi-billion dollar petrochemical plant in the Middle East, Central Asia or Russia.
