At a November 14, 2007 Sotheby's sale in New York City, paintings by Fang Lijun and Zhang Xiaogang fetched $4 million and $5 million, respectively. A set of 14 drawings by Cai Guo-Qiang was sold by Christie's Hong Kong auction for $9.5 million.
