ABSTRACT
The article reports on the possibility of skills shortage within the British nuclear power industry, according to Sellafield HR chief Jim Gibson. He warned that existing skills shortages in areas such as project management, engineering, safety and construction would worsen. Gibson pointed out that many workers in the industry were due to retire in five to 10 years. He also welcomed new British government plans to create a national nuclear skills academy.
