The article reports on the impact of the Writers Guild of America's strike on the ratings given by Nielsen Media Research for local television (TV) news in Tucson, Arizona. KOLD-TV and KVOA 4 are among of the affected stations due to the low ratings received from Nielsen on November 1 to 28, 2007. However, KGUN 9 was not affected by the writers strike because its ratings continue to increase year over year.
