ABSTRACT
The article questions the liquidation sale of El Con Macy's in Tucson, Arizona due to the unusual manner of the company in handling announcement regarding the store. According to the author, the company's lease on the building does not expire until December 2009 and the announcements are not being made from its corporate headquarters. However, El Con store manager Wendy Kundrat was transferred by the company to its store in San Diego, California.
