ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the efforts made by Microsoft to become a more environment friendly company in the U.S. The effort encompasses hardware, software and the company's role as a corporate citizen. The company also aims to initiate its customers, products and programs into the green revolution. As part of the effort, Microsoft is also partnering with movers and shakers as former President Bill Clinton and his Clinton Foundation to discover how the world's largest cities can reduce carbon output and greenhouse gases. The company is also a part of the Green Grid consortium and Climate Savers, two industrywide power-efficiency initiatives.
