According to Bill Perdue, AHFA vice president of environmental safety, health and standards, the program will provide furniture manufacturers the opportunity to speak to consumers with a product label that shows their commitment to improving the environment. In addition, the Sustainable by Design aims to build on the AHFA's Enhancing Furniture's Environmental Culture program.
