The article reports on the acquisition of Mattress Expo company in Georgia and Clearwater Mattress Inc. in Florida by specialty bedding retailer Mattress Giant Corp. in Addison, Texas. It is noted that the deals expanded Mattress Giant to more than 340 stores and increased its presence to 14 states in the U.S. Comments of its chief executive officer (CEO) Barrie Brown on the significance of the acquisitions on the retailer are also provided.
