ABSTRACT
The article presents a risk summary for Latvia. In politics, economic reforms instituted in 2007 made little progress despite the government saying that further initiatives on the supply-side are needed to support a sustainable rate of real income convergence with wealthier European Union states. On the economic side, Latvia remains the fastest growing economy among Baltic states, posting a double-digit growth rate. In business, Latvian firms are worried over rising labor costs and the labor drain.
