ABSTRACT
The article presents an economic outlook for Slovakia. According to the article, Slovakia's greatest success has been the rapid reduction of unemployed citizens. While Slovakia's Bratislavsky kraj was heralded as one of the best performing regions in the European Union, its eastern Vychodne region has the worst unemployment rate in European Union (EU). According to the article, the disparity between the two regions is brought about by the massive influx of foreign investment into western Slovakia.
