February 2008
Emerging Europe Monitor: Central Europe & Baltic States;Feb2008, Vol. 15 Issue 2, p4
Country Report
The article presents information on political and economic risks, and the business environment of Poland. The decision to send additional troops to Afghanistan is proving to be unpopular to voters and the government is under pressure to withdraw its troop. Industrial production is seen to slow down as a result of poor export sales, the U.S. credit deficit, and decrease of world economic growth in 2008. Unemployment is seen to fall further due to Poland's increasing economic growth and the impact of Polish worker migration to western Europe.
