The article reports on the plans of Marvell Technology Group Ltd. to lay off 7% of its workforce. The 400-employee cuts will affect all functions of the company's global workforce, in particular positions based in the U.S. and Israel. The workforce reduction is expected to result in a company charge of $8 million in Marvell's fiscal fourth quarter in 2008.
