ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the elements of a contract for accepting donated structures. Authorization and consent are advised for the use of property between owner and department. The legal counsel can also develop a template property release between owner and department to specify physical property location. It is said that to prepare a donated structure for training, fire agencies should secure a consultant and contractor to determine special handling and disposal requirements.
