ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs related to fire bills in the U.S. California Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced a bill to improve fire-prevention efforts in areas prone to wildfires. The Fire Safe Community Act established incentives for communities at risk of wildfires to adopt a new model fire-safe ordinance. The Matching Arson Through Criminal History Act created a national arson registry requiring convicted arsonists to report significant information about them.
