Caribbean Business;12/27/2007, Vol. 35 Issue 51, p36
The article focuses on the economic performance of the business industry in Puerto Rico in 2007. According to the author, 2007 is difficult for retailers but it is better compared than 2006 as consumer uncertainty created by the introduction of the new Sales and Use Tax wear off, retailers adjusted inventories and targeted merchandising more effectively, and price wars across all product categories were crucial in maintaining foot traffic.
