ABSTRACT
The article features Hyundai Translead, a company that manufactures dry-freight van trailers. For the design of its production facility in Tijuana, Mexico, it looked to its parent company, Hyundai Motors for help in tooling that aids in high speed production and quality maintenance. They came up with the H line that makes use of innovative tooling and helps increase production of vans and containers. The facility can produce different types of vans including domestic containers, drop frame vans and refrigerated vans at very efficient rates.
