Navistar affiliate enters venture with M&M

The article reports that Navistar International Corp. and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&) Ltd have jointly agreed to produce diesel engines for medium and heavy commercial trucks and buses in India. The joint venture will be named Mahindra International Engines Ltd (MIEL) and will have a combined investment of $90 million. MIEL will start production in April 2009 after completion of their new plant in India that will have a predicted capacity of 25,000 units a year.
