ABSTRACT
The article analyses the study on the diagnostic specificity of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody (anti-CCP) test than rheumatoid factor (RF) for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease. It discusses the study selection and assessment. Results show that anti-CCP positivity is a stronger predictor than RF positivity for development of RA in asymptomatic persons and for radiographic progression of RA. It concludes that detection of anti-CCP is a more specific test than RF for diagnosing RA.
