ABSTRACT
The article announces the awarding of an audit contract to Health Management Systems under the Medicaid Integrity Program at the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The contract qualifies the company to bid on individual Task Orders issued by CMS for a variety of auditing functions designed to identify inappropriate payments. The program is designed to provide CMS the resources necessary to combat fraud, waste and abuse in Medicaid.
