ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the recording of the jazz album of PanAmericana! entitled "Felicidade" at Studio A at Legacy Recording Studios in New York City. For noted New York City-based producer and engineer George Petit, the intensive project was an opportunity to apply his considerable experience to nontraditional record/mix procedures. The musical influences and style are also discussed.
