ABSTRACT
The article discusses several work-related court cases in Great Britain. In Greenwood v Whiteghyll Plastics Ltd., the employment tribunal suggested Whiteghyll should consider a reorganisation to allow Greenwood to continue in employment. In Smith v Michelin Tyre plc, Smith was disciplined and dismissed because of smoking. The tribunal decided this was a reasonable response to the employee's misconduct. In Bull v Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service, the court decided co-responding could not be implied into their contracts.
