ABSTRACT
The article reports on the percentage of furniture factory orders and shipments for Smith Leonard in High Point, North Carolina in 2007. Furniture factory orders were off 3%, however, shipments were only down 1% in August. According to Ken Smith, managing partner of Smith Leonard, business in September and October have not improved significantly. He adds that they think business will likely be sluggish into 2008, but there are still pockets of business that doing well.
