ABSTRACT
The article reports on the $267 million buyout of specialty furniture retailer Restoration Hardware Inc. by an affiliate of a private equity firm Catterton Partners in the U.S. As part of the buyout, Restoration's stockholders will be paid $6.70 per share in cash. Gary Friedman, Restoration's chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO), will be an equity investor of the said transaction. The deal is expected to be close in the first quarter of 2008.
