ABSTRACT
The article focuses on carbon nanotubes (CNT) as components in electrochemical sensors, with emphasis on CNT-based electroanalysis. Most applications of CNT depend on the modification of working electrodes. It has been noted that single stranded DNA (ssDNA) interacts strongly with CNT to form a stable DNA-CNT hybrid that effectively disperse CNT in aqueous solution. It also discusses improvements of the electrochemical behavior, nanotubular electrodes and electrochemical biosensors.
