ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the changes in the way travel agencies conduct themselves in the U.S. The author said that travel agencies have changed the way they do business but the manner in which small, traditional agencies interact with their customers has lagged. It is said that some agencies email itineraries to clients, offer Website booking, provide electronic brochures about some destinations but some agents on the Main Street failed to transform their operations.
