ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview of the essential photographic filters for digital cameras including ultraviolet, haze and skylight filters, polarizing and graduated neutral density filters. Ultraviolet, haze and skylight filters protect camera lenses from accidental bumps. Polarizing filter is important especially for outdoor photography. Graduated neutral density filters allow the balancing of darker and lighter parts of the scene to be captured.
