ABSTRACT
The article provides information on Michigan's Southern Lower Peninsula. The southern section of the state extends from the Indiana and Ohio borders to the imaginary line that corresponds to the knuckles of the state's mitten and thumb. The article describes the peninsula's topography and climate. It then cites the major rivers and lake in the peninsula, as well as the common plants, birds and mammals that can be found living in the area. It also enumerates the best natural features of Southern Lower Peninsula.
