The article informs that Royal & Sun Alliance PLC is supporting its business continuity capability by standardising on computer desktops and rolling out the same continuity management system and IP telephony system across 21 business sites in Great Britain. It is reported that the roll-out is scheduled for completion by mid-2008. According to Ian Houghton, continuity manager at the company, standardising on worktops and an IP telephone system will mean staff can go to any Web site and log on to their applications and calls, which will enable him to consider moving staff and work more seriously than in the past.
