ABSTRACT
The article reports that France's Suez and Spain's La Caixa bank have made a bid to take over the remainder of Spanish water utility Sociedad General de Aguas de Barcelona (Agbar). The Spanish water company owns Bristol Water. The two companies together own 49.79 per cent of Agbar. The decision comes as the Spanish government has announced a hike in spending in the water sector.
