ABSTRACT
The article highlights the launching of the first approved carbon offsetting program for the travel industry by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) in Great Britain. According to the author, ABTA has developed the web-based initiative, reducemyfootprint.travel and has the backing of the Association of Independent Tour Operators. He added that the Reduce My Footprint, which will be operated by Carbon Offsets aims to support offsetting projects that are relevant to the travel industry.
