ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the online readership survey of ICIS and Celerant Consulting depicting the important role of outsourcing in the chemical industry. The survey revealed that outsourcing is well established in certain sectors of the industry, with an aim to reduced costs, increased productivity, and shorter time scales. Moreover, the survey assessed that three of the surveyed companies are dissatisfied with the performance of their outsourcing activities.
