ABSTRACT
The article reports that several high technology companies including Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and Intel embrace the network coding scheme in the U.S. The platform is geared at boosting its throughput, scalability and efficiency from content distribution to wireless networks. The new scheme was proposed by researchers in 2001 to improve reliability and resistance to attacks. According to network coding's ardent supporters, the technology could spark networking's next revolution. Critics commented that it will infiltrate network architectures quietly based on routing schemes.
