The article discusses the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), which addresses uncertainties associated with the funding process for Women's Business Centers, Small Business Administration's (SBA) oversight of the program and actions taken to avoid duplication. GAO recommends SBA to reassess the responsibilities assigned to district staff and develop a communication strategy. SBA is revising its award process and plans to provide the 2008 fiscal year.
