ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the financial performance of semiconductor design software supplier Mentor Graphics Corp. for the third quarter of 2007 ended October 31. The revenue reported by the company for the quarter was $186.3 million, which fell below its previous guidance of $200 million. GAAP earnings were a loss of 10 cents per share, but broken even on a non-GAAP basis. Walden C. Rhines, chairman and CEO of Mentor, said bookings were strong in the quarter.
