Regulator Slaps BSkyB Over ITV Purchase

The article reports on the provisional ruling issued by the U.K. Competition Commission to British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB). According to the ruling, BSkyB has to sell its stake in ITV wherein it also made Virgin Media a potential buyer of the stakes. Meanwhile, Oppenheimer & C. media analyst Tom Eagan claimed that the likely buyer of BSkyB's stakes would be RTL, owner of U.K.'s Channel 5.
