Workshops help Centrica to cut back-pain absence

The article focuses on the back-care workshops organized by Centrica. The energy company saw absence related to back pain fall by 43 per cent following the workshops. It claims that the programme saved �1,660 per participant, or �31 for every �1 spent. Anne Minto, group director of human resources, said that while back pain was a particular problem for British Gas engineers, the workshops were rolled out across the business because of their huge effect.
