ABSTRACT
The article reports that E.W. Scripps Co. the Cincinnati-based parent company of cable networks HGTV and Food Network, has proposed to split the company into two. The two entities will be Scripps Networks Interactive and E.W. Scripps Co. The split will take the form of a tax-free dividend of stock in Scripps Networks, distributed to all Scripps shareholders on a pro rata basis.
