ABSTRACT
The article reports that Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is supporting S. 522, a U.S. bill to improve the management, coordination and effectiveness of domestic and international intellectual property rights enforcement. The bill, co-sponsored by U.S. Senators Evan Bayh and George Voinovich, will allocate more resources to fight counterfeiting and will mandate federal agencies to report to Congress on the progress of the efforts. Bendix is a charter member of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Brand Protection Council.
