ABSTRACT
The article discusses figures from ACT on trailer orders for September 2007. According to the data, total trailer orders were 10,238, down by 11% year-over-year, and roughly inline with the expectations of Bear Stearns. Dry van orders totaled 4,931, down by 2% year-over-year, while flatbed orders totaled 1,186, down by 25% year-over-year. According to Bear Stearns, there is little reason for optimism for trailer demand for the foreseeable future.
