The article assesses the decision of utility companies in the U.S. to integrate customer relationship management (CRM) analytics to empower customers and strengthen integration between infrastructure systems and customer data. The strategy calls for the segmentation of customers for collections, service calls and infrastructure monitoring to predict power failures.
