ABSTRACT
The article reports on the operational functions of the world's first large-scale 802.11n wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) from Meru Networks in the U.S. According to Morrisville State College (MSC) Information Technology (IT) staff that 802.11n (WLAN) is still in its shakedown phase. However, students and IT staff have seen improvements compared with the previous 802.11a/b/g infrastructure, since the classrooms could run video newsfeeds and online conferences without buffering delays. Meru was the first vendor to ship Draft 2-compliant 802.11n gear which was adopted first by colleges and universities.
