ABSTRACT
This article reports on the acquisition of the Resorts East Chicago riverboat casino property in Illinois by Ameristar Casinos of Las Vegas, Nevada. According to Ameristar chief executive officer John Boushy, the purchase provides them an access to Chicago's gaming market, diversifies their cash flow and enhances their distribution channels. The plans of Ameristar for the property are described.
