ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Police Department in Glendale, Arizona has formed a committee to explore buying a vehicle that would meet a variety of communications needs. It relates the department has chosen a rapid-response regional support vehicle with advanced communications systems called Blue OX, which is funded by the Urban Area Security Initiative. Moreover, the vehicle is flexible and efficient so it could be used in the prevention, detection, and management of both crises.
