The article discusses the minute-books kept by the Glasgow Art Club (GAC), an internationally recognized Scottish art group. It presents a brief history of the organization and of the minute-books which were believed to be lost until they were rediscovered in 2002. It describes the information preserved in the organization's minutes as inaccessible due to the way in which it had been organized. The author introduces the process he used as GAC archivist to devise a system making the minutes accessible to Club members and to researchers.
