ABSTRACT
The article reports that farmers should check the terms of agri-environmental stewardship agreements before ploughing up grassland to take advantage of higher grain prices, according to consultant Claire Kingston of Laurence Gould Partnership. Failure to meet the requirement may result in a breach of contract, which can result to penalties, repayment of money already received and loss of future payments.
