ABSTRACT
The article offers information on technologies that will help prevent emergency vehicle accidents in the U.S. The author claims that these technologies can ensure that firefighters are using their seatbelts properly and control traffic signals from inside the vehicle with the use of preemption technologies. One example of such technologies is the Global Positioning System (GPS) preemption systems that have been introduced to overcome line-of-sight concerns.
