ABSTRACT
The article explores the market for diethylene glycol. The demand, which equals production plus imports, for diethylene glycol in 2005 was 823m lbs, 854m lbs in 2006. The projected demand in 2010 is 885m lbs. The largest applications for diethylene glycol are as an intermediate in the production of unsaturated polyester resins and for polyurethane.
