ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the high value of the precious metals found in many catalysts. The high value makes it essential to recover as much of the precious metals as possible. Often referred to as Platinum Group Metals (PGMs), these precious metals also experience volatile price shifts on mercantile trading markets, making their timely recovery critical. Precious metal refiners rely on an array of techniques and equipment to recover PGMs from spent catalysts.
