ABSTRACT
The article reports on the installation of IQ-Max voice-over-Internet protocol turrets from IPC Systems on the trading floors of Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York City and London, England. The turrrets will be implemented by early 2008. According to Tony Kerrison, chief technology officer (CTO) of global technology infrastructure at Merrill, the technology will provide its traders with highly advanced trading-floor communications.
